Muzaffarnagar: Residents of Muzaffarnagar have until 4 pm on Saturday, October 24, to apply for inclusion of their names in the voter list or correct errors in their existing entries. A special electoral revision drive is being conducted at designated polling stations across the district, with Booth Level Officers (BLOs) available from 10 am to 4 pm to receive applications.
During the campaign, eligible citizens can submit forms to register as new voters or make corrections to details such as their names, addresses and other information in the electoral roll. Applicants can also seek assistance from BLOs if they need help completing the required forms.
The administration has urged residents who are yet to register or need to correct their details to visit their designated polling station before the deadline.
The first special campaign, held on October 17, reportedly witnessed lower public participation than expected. Festivals and a lack of adequate publicity were considered possible reasons for the limited response.
Following the drive, awareness efforts have been undertaken through the municipal administration to encourage more eligible residents to take part in the voter registration and correction process.
The final electoral roll was published on April 10, 2026, following the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process. Special campaigns were subsequently scheduled for October 17 and October 24 to facilitate voter registration and corrections.
The annual voter list revision process is expected to begin after these special drives. The administration has appealed to all eligible citizens to use the current opportunity to ensure that their details are correctly recorded in the electoral roll.
